“I purchased replacement lamp for my projector. Once i put it in projector, lamp worked only for 2-3 minutes then it shut off (shows error light due to lamp). Also noticed that brightness of the pictures is darker than original lamp. My original lamp gives some issues, but still works, so I replaced back original and picture was great. So i did put back new lamp and still shut off after 2-3 min. I decided to return it. But looks like this company is not providing return label, so i had to ship myself which cost me 15$. The company is not willing to reimburse shipping cost, meaning that i just waisted 15$ for nothing, i waisted my time and money for bad product. Absolute NOT recommend this company to buy replacement parts.”

“Sorry but have to speak my mind. WARNING to anyone buying from this site, if the bulb has a fault or is incorrect that is down to this company selling badly manufactured parts then it will cost YOU to send items back! My first bulb fell faulty within a week of use so sent it back for replacement at my cost and when the other replacement arrived it was apparently manufactured wrong and couldn't replace it for a month as the whole 30 units were bad so I got a refund but I still had to send the other bulb back at my cost! After a week of checking they are still showing stock and selling this bulb to other people. I wouldn't buy from this seller again or recommend them!!!!”

“Sadly I’m still waiting for this bulb to arrive 17 days since ordering this. An email from the company apologised stating that their supplier was having difficulty accessing the bulb I requested. Still no news on whether this bulb has been sourced yet and they still have my money (£112). Frustrating as I will not have my projector working for Christmas (and no TV)!”

“In May 2021, bought “an original lamp inside” model for Optoma UHD 550x Projector. In December 2021, the projector started turning off after exhibiting what seemed like colour wheel problems. The lamp light would come on. The problem was the housing. In summary, the glass in the housing cracked and the picture quality was poorer. Bought a original lamp and housing from Currys. No problems at all now, picture is much better. And comparing the glass piece in the housings the one from Lampsdirect is clearly a very cheap quality one. Very green. The original one was crystal clear. Won’t buy “compatible” items again. Not worth it.”

“Sent me a faulty lamp that blew up after 1 hour. Expected me to pay for another one and go through the hassle of returning the faulty one. I dont have the time to do that nor do i have a printer to print a label.”

“Please avoid using this company. I ordered a new 'original inside' PJ bulb for my Sony PJ. The bulb that arrived was a non branded cheap generic bulb. NOT Philips or Osram. The bulb housing was also damaged! I contacted the company, but they repeatedly ignored my emails. Lesson learned here...avid this company!!!”

“The “Original Inside” lamp I ordered came with a blatantly none original lamp installed, despite the box listing it as “Original Inside”. I have contacted them by email, but had no response in 3 days. Luckily I used PayPal so I’ll be raising a complaint with them.”

“Communications was poor as I had to chase where my order was, then to be hold they were struggling to get hold of the item and would I like them to try again. Why advertise something you can't get hold of. This will be 6 weeks of waiting now to get a lamp.”

“The lamp bricked my projector with a spark-inducing POP. Infuriatingly, though perhaps inevitably, Lamps Direct claimed it to be a problem with the projector itself, despite it having functioned brilliantly for years. After then seeing their tragic rating on Trustpilot about suspect lamps (which I wish I had seen earlier) and being told that my postage (x2) wouldn't be refunded "because it's a return-to-base warranty", I had to accept that I paid out two lots of postage just to have my projector destroyed, not to mention the cost of a replacement projector on top. Beware!”

“After a long test on my lamp , I realise the lamp I purchased it's completely different than my original one, so the verdict is the lamp is no good.this was my replacement from the one I return as well.”
