“The price for the complete unit (manufacturers number elplp49) is at a huge discount to the OEM. Upon physical examination there was no difference between the two. My projector (ehtw3500) has been running for appx 8 hours with the new lamp fitted with no problems. I have a professional set up disc and there are slight differences in colouration (towards the red) but this is not noticeable when running. Brightness is important to me as I am running my projector from a little over 6 meters away onto a 10ft screen and so far the lamp appears to be giving out a similar light level to the original new lamp. My OEM lamp lasted 1300 hours instead of the up to 4000 hours Epson says so not amused despite low power use 95% of the time!. If this lamp lasts as long and keeps its brightness levels up as well then I will definitely buy again -- only time will tell, but at the moment I consider the lamp a good buy.”
