“Buying an after market lamp, one wonders if it will actually fit, will it match the original design with no reduction in specification or feature and will it prove as bright and as reliable. Apart from one aspect, I can only praise this LampDirect replacement. My projector was second hand and very very cheap because the original lamp had but a few hours life left. I understand it is not unknown for projector bulbs to fail and when they do, they do so explosively. That is why they have the warning messages to replace them after a set number if hours and will shut down before reaching a number of hours that significantly raises thus risk. The explosion is not some terrifying event but it can destroy the key components of your projector. For this reason the original manufacturers lamp assembly included a thick glass "blast wall" in front of the bulb to ensure that should the bulb fail destructively, no such damage would occur. The lamp direct assembly includes no such protection and is it of such form that I could transplant this shield from the life expired original. In short, if the LampDirect bulb should fail, and do so in the described manner it will take my projector with it. The lamp represents superb value... I am delighted, but I would not put such a lamp in a projector that would bother me to see destroyed or in which I had invested a significant sum.”

“Very cheap replacement projector lamp, and it works! I have had a few problems though (Epson 3200). I cannot use ECO mode on the projector (lamp flickers a lot), and twice the projector has suddenly warned about overheating. But I think you get what you pay for, or in fact even more for it was cheap!”
